The Weekly Photo Challenge this week is from lines to patterns. I have had a lot of fun taking photographs of lines and pattern to see how they move the eye when viewed without the distraction of context and create some optical illusion.
Lines sometimes create patterns to form works of art – as these in the Broad Art Museum on the Michigan State University Campus.
I like how the the context of blinds behind the apples create drama and move the eye towards the focused object.

This week the inspiring folks at the Daily Post are challenging us to use the photography skills we learned in the earlier post by guest photographer Ming Thein. The theme seems so very broad but the challenge is to create a photograph that focuses your eye and tells you a story about my world. My reflections on my summer world in Michigan, require that I capture blue sky, trees, water, flowers and solitude.
