On my Tuesday morning visit to the Naples Botanical Garden in the middle of February I stuck to my routine of stopping at the cafe for a scone and ginger limeade. But how could I resist this small special desert of a lemon mousse with a raspberry sauce and a single flower on top. It sure looks like an orchid so maybe their orchid show was coming up.
Cee is hosting the weekly Lens-Artist Photo Challenge this week so check out other entries here.
Excellent variation on the theme. Unique! I’ve seen flowers like that on food. Well done.

Thanks, John. If I remember right, I ate it. I figured ta restaurant wouldn’t put a flower that was poisonous on a plate of food. 🙂

I really love the header photo – wow! But hey I did notice your single flower 🙂

The water lily in the header is a Victoria Amazonia and blooms at night. By 11:00 in the morning it is closed – and will bloom one or two more nights. The second night they bloom they are sometimes pink. The blossoms and pads can get really big. Thanks for your response, Abrie.
