Musical Notes – Clerodendrum Incisum
I was hot, sweaty, and getting tired when I spotted this charming flower in the botanical garden. It made me smile and I had a hunch that this would be best photographed at this phase, when it was just starting to bloom. What fun, and what an appropriate name.
The next week, I saw this plant in another part of the garden and it was in full bloom with all the notes having fallen over. I guess the notes had gone flat.
Lovely photo and text.
Before they went ‘flat’ they seemed more like ‘grace notes to me…

What a delightful flower…glad you capture it before it lost its tune…I know that was just trite line but hey…you started it!

You know, I just remembered that as an adolescent I was too smart to get myself into trouble but I loved to provoke (maybe too strong an action – I was subtle) others into mischief. I am enjoying your reminder that I still have the skill. 🙂

It was very sharp of you to photograph it before the notes fell flat. 😅
