I would have a hard time speculating on what this door was used for and why changes were made through the years. I tagged this as architecture, which will made a few people either laugh or say naughty words. Taken in Buenos Aries, Argentina in 2015.
If you have a liking for doors, you will undoubtedly find some with more class by following this link to Norman’s weekly feature, Thursday Doors.
Hmm…would be an interesting history to know…like the photo!

It looks like a door that has run away to join the fairground.

There’s something fascinating about doors – I guess because so many of them conceal private places and secrets. Maybe the one in your image was intended as a kind of a visual joke.

I always wonder about what goes on behind the doors. And so many of them have so much personality.

I saw one In a garden once – just a door, held up by its frame, in the middle of a grassy area with a path that led through it, so you could open it and go through – or you could just peak around the side of it. It was inspired!

Wow, what a wonderful idea. On a smaller scale, for a smaller garden, a gate could add the same interest.
