What amazed me about Cuba was the literacy rate (99.75%).

That amazed me too – along with their health system designed to make medical care in rural areas effective and efficient. They eradicated the communicable diseases that plague other poor countries and have been focusing on cancer treatment.

What a great memory. It was such a surprise to look in a doorway while walking down the street and see a library!
