Summer Solstice
don’t think about transient
when days are long and warm
don’t think about transient
as gardens teem with anticipation
don’t think about transient
when today is rich for life
breath deep with joy
because tomorrow we move on
Photograph (and words) are in response to this week’s Daily Post photo challenge of transient. I am working hard at living in this day because thinking about the transitions to come increase my stress and result in another day missed because I was living somewhere else.

A fine mood to have for this summer solstice day.

I hope it is a good one for you. Do you appreciate the summer solstice in southern CA in the same way you did in Ohio? At this time in the solar calendar it doesn’t get dark until almost 10:00.

Thanks, Laura. I’m a poet want-a-be. 🙂

An accurate photo for transient. Love the movement and the ever ongoing nature of seeds and replanting of this beautiful weed.

Thanks – I took it last week and thought of it immediately when I saw the theme.
