Gracefulness is a tricky quality β it manifests itself as an effortless, subtle harmony between a subject and its environment.
This phrase caught my fancy as I read Ben Huberman’s post providing inspiration for the The Daily Post photo challenge from WordPress. My Tuesday morning visit to the Naples Botanical Garden was different this week. My brain saw things differently, maybe because it was dulled by the medication my insurance company requires I try before they will pay for the one that works for me – but that’s another post.
I saw things in a different light?, or from a different perspective?, or maybe I just slowed down. The result is that I had a visual appreciation for the design of the garden, especially the hard sculptures that are strategically place to be pleasing. This harmony of hard surface and plants is most evident in the oriental garden.
I’m feeling a need for more gracefulness, for more grace, in my life in these uncertain times when sometimes I get irritable, sometimes hateful. If you are in a similar place, I think there is plenty of grace to go around. Blessings.

Actually it is the insurance company that need to get an adjustment. The doctor has to plead my case every year – nothing but a hassle and a few foggy mornings. π Hope you are having a great week-end, I have been enjoying your bird photos.
