Succulents are always a pleasure to photograph closely – the patterns and swirls are astonishing. Agaves especially fascinate me as they leave the imprint of one leaf on another. Thanks, David. This was at the Hidden Lake Gardens in southern Michigan, run by Michigan State University. After multiple attempts to capture the whole of these large succulents – always unsuccessfully – I finally decided to try to do macros. I like the results.
