This has special meaning for me because a woman wrote a book titled “River of Grass” about the Everglades and this book has been instrumental in starting the movement to protect the everglades as an important ecosystem. The rapid growth of southern Florida in the past 20 years is a very real threat to this broad, shallow river going through the sawgrass plains and hardwood swamps.
Thanks, Susan. I have taken several lately that look like paintings. I don’t know what I am doing differently but I like it. 🙂 I think a big part is the lighting – and doing some adjusting in Lightroom.
Perhaps my favorite photograph for today’s visit – I love them all – this could easily be a painting though.
