    • Thanks, Judy. Yes this is the beach at Naples at the Naples Pier. The first pier at this site was built because it was the only way to get to Naples. There was even a narrow gauge rail on it to carry luggage of vacationers and supplies for the one hotel (the only place that had electricity). The railroad and the Tamiami Trail were built in the early 20’s but the pier has been a landmark. Two were destroyed by hurricanes but were rebuilt. This is strictly a fishing pier – boats are docked in Naples Bay (and in all the canals that were dredged coming off Naples Bay). Oh, and all the beach in Naples is public and very easy to access. All east/west streets end with parking and access.
