I love the “Pure Michigan” slogan used for tourism – I think it resonates with everyone who loves being in Michigan summers – and some folks who love Michigan winters.
Julie and I went on one of our early morning photo shoots last week and talked a lot about how much we love the simple Michigan countryside. It is the familiar part of our Pure Michigan.
Beautiful!

Thanks. I find it challenging to photograph the ordinary – but it is the ordinary that I frequently find so beautiful.

This looks like high summer. I don’t think we are quite there yet this side of the pond, though to be fair, I haven’t been out in the country for a while.
Lovely!

Thanks, Isobel. They grow winter wheat here – so it starts growing in the fall – and then ripens early in the summer. I really enjoyed the wild flowers we saw.
