As I was driving a state highway to Holland’s Tulip Festival this past week, we saw a barn that was a “wow”. It was quickly decided that we would drive back the same way so we could stop and take some photos. We found our way back, and it was worth it.
Some barns have an abundance of character, and this is one of them. I took several macro shots, but as we were getting in the car to leave I knew I needed to take a photo of the structure. The lines appeal to me; I like the balance. This barn seems to have aged well, and aging well isn’t easy.
Beautiful tones and textures. Old barns are so intriguing!

I have several close to home that I’m waiting for the opportunity when I’m free and the light is right. Thanks for visiting, Sue.

Beautiful! Glad you returned to the barn. I love the rust garage door, next to the gray walls.

So would I. We don’t do in – I can smooth angry people when I am on their property but not in their property.
