They are lens extenders that go between the lens and the body of DSLR camera. They allow for closer focusing. I am just learning about them so I can’t tell you much more. They are an inexpensive new toy. 🙂
uff dah! I gotta get me one of those toys. Funny, after I read this post, I saw the same thing mentioned on another blog. I thought to myself, “Self, you need to get out more.”
I had never read an explanation of what they were but I had seen reference to them on blogs. I finally had to look them up on the B&H photography store’s web page. It seems to be one of those things we are just suppose to know – not! I think they were about $40 for a set of three different sizes.
