Ailsa’s travel theme this week is “short” and it fit perfectly with a blog I was mulling around in my mind on the Children’s Garden at the Naples Botanical Gardens. This portion of the garden is designed for people of the short variety – and me. I am relatively tall (5′ 7”), but the little person in me delights when things are shrunk in correct proportion. I think this is why I have spent several mornings exploring this garden with my camera. Take my hand and we will walk around together.
Short gates with a short sunflower.
A short arch just tall enough for short people.
A critter to delight, I had to use short legs on my tripod.
Come have a rest – but beware these are for people with short legs.
A flower box just a sort distance off the ground so short people can water and smell the flowers.
Best of all, a short water pump and lots of watering cans.
A peek in the windows shows a table and chair – for afternoon tea?
We can take turns sweeping with the short broom.
This shortie is keeping an eye on the garden of kid sized annuals with lots and lots of butterflies.

I did a post a while back that had a pump that is in another part of the children’s garden. Maybe that is where you commented.
