This barn stands about a mile from my home and I have passed it hundreds of times, at different hours of the day and in different types of light. It intrigues me and begged to be photographed, but either light wasn’t right or traffic too heavy to pull over onto the narrow shoulder.
I was up early and on my way to fetch Julie for our weekly photo safari and there it was, in perfect morning light. It doesn’t take much to make me a happy woman, at that moment just a camera and some interesting light.
Another place that begs to be explored….looks tantalising in your image… 🙂

You are lucky to have a photo-mate. Sometimes I am afraid to get near some abandoned places like this by myself. We have quite a few around us and they soon would be gone as there are so many new subdivisions springing up.

It consoles me as well. Isn’t that odd?

Sometimes lovely light is enough! Having grown up playing and working in barns, I wonder what it smells like.

Our smell memory is so strong. This is such a low barn with unusual openings. I wonder what it has been used for.
