Sunset
fleeting moment, passing time
another day ending
memories, regrets enshrined
in clouds that form and float away
waiting for another day.

Are those birds on top of the posts? A lovely picture!

Yes, they are pelicans. Perched for a view of the sunset, maybe.

Thanks, Charlie. I don’t think of myself as a poet – I just write down what I have experienced. That makes your compliment especially fun.

Thanks, LuAnn. When I see a sunset I experience the emotions of how fleeting time is – another day gone. I tried to capture that.

Thanks – I think I pretty accurately expressed what I feel as I watch a sunset. I get a little melancholy – while at the same time eager to move on.

A really lovely poem,. The photo is great and is perfect for “fleeting” as sunsets are soon gone and no two are ever alike.

Thanks – it of course was from our time in Florida last fall. I have been missing the beach and am looking forward to our October return – but have a lot of Michigan fun before I want to go.
