Beauty thru my Lens: Butterflies & a Duck

We postponed our trip north by one day because we couldn’t figure out how to get from where we were to where we wanted to be without going through the terrible storms that were passing through the states east of the Mississippi River. This gave me another day to visit the Naples Botanical Gardens. Southern Florida is at the end of the dry season and the rain has led to a lot of growth – everything looked so different from the last time I was there.

I took a lot of photos that morning and I think these are my favorite butterflies and I love the duck. I have some really nice flowers to share in a future post. For now I am safely in my Michigan home, happy but very tired.

  1. It’s nice to see everything in bloom again.
This morning, I was driving down a road that I always take and I almost didn’t recognize it anymore.Last week it was lined with leafless trees, and now there is green everywhere.

    • Thanks, Tom. That first one I love, too. It doesn’t showcase the butterfly but there is a wonderful sense of movement. Thanks for noticing improvement – once I got over that hump of frustration I am learning and using new skills every day. I am more deliberate in what I am doing and know how to use my camera with more skill. Thanks for your kindness and warm smile.
