Yesterday we went to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in southwest southern Florida and found lots of texture. How convenient because Cee is calling for “texture” this week. The sanctuary has a two and a half mile boardwalk that goes through a bald cypress forest – the largest one in North America.
It took us over 4 hours because the 4 sets of eyes were continually seeing something to examine or photograph. Here are some of the textures I captured. Click on one of the photos to see as a slide show and to read captions.

It truly is. It has two and half miles of beautiful boardwalk through the swamp with multiple ecosystems. We only went once and I’m looking forward to another trip next winter/spring.

Pat_ These are all fantastic pictures & great textures!
Gosh – I don’t know whick one I love most. I’m thinking I better say Alligator as to not upset it.
But- in a whisper I dare say the web & warped tree trunk. 😉

I was really surprised that I ended up with a good shot of the spider web. It was a ways away and I had to hold my camera to get the right angle. The other shots had a lot of movement. I was lucky the sun hit it just right to make it sparkle. Thanks for the nice comment.
