Beauty Thru My Lens: Passion

Today is Passion Friday so it seems only fitting to post this picture of a Passion Flower that I found on my morning walk Thursday.

    • Cannon D5100 and a Tamron 18-200mm lens is all I have. They are at the lower price range for DSLR. I am thinking about a longer lens so I can get sharper bird photos. What really helped my photos is getting Adobe Lightroom for post processing. I am able to correct little errors that my lack of camera skill and lower end equipment produce. If you haven’t tried it you can download it free for 30 days. The library/filling system is a little difficult but the photo manipulation is easy and fun.

      • I have yet to get into post processing. Your images seem v sharp, but having ahd a bad experience with Canon I avoid them, also I didn’t find the camera comfortable in my hand. I love the feel of the G1, the G3 is less comfortable, but the G5 is nice. Then there is the Olympus…. 🙂

        • I’m sorry, I have a Nikon D5100. I went into a store and “tried them on” and read lots of reviews. My point and shoot is an Olympus and it takes good pics. My older photos – the ones of Kyrgyzstan and St. Petersburg – were taken with the Olympus. I also find that cropping also gives me better shots. I can’t always position myself right or get close enough so cropping after the fact helps.

    • I will watch for your photos. I find it interesting how different parts of the world have different names for plants and berries. There continues to be unrest in your part of the world. How are you doing? I think about you often.

  1. thnx dear, yes it’s amazing how names change ,yet, the scientific sophisticated names are the same,my country is practically falling,it’s amazing how some are that stupid to repeat history, same foolish, fascist actions all over again,we’re heading definitely towards a civil war or we pray for a miracle from GOD to save us,some are only after their own interest even if it meant destroying their own country,in order to reach their dirty goals they’d alley with enemies, countries that want to own us,kill innocent, manipulate in the name of religion,GOD,easily use anything for their own goals, pray for us,pray for our great Egypt to return to its’ people not to in-justified dictators again ,Amen
