For the next few days, I will be posting some of my favorite photos of small ports. I have a case of wanderlust so maybe this will help. This first one is on Aran Island in the Republic of Ireland, taken during the afternoon on a January day.

That is a stunning photo! Look forward to more.

Thanks. They have gotten me through some cold and very grey days. 🙂 Photography is so much fun – but you already know that.

Water and boats, I can never get enough of.

Neither can I, Gary. I am having a lot of fun going back and looking at my photos of boats and picking the ones I want to feature. I especially love “working” boats.

Thanks for the good laugh. Did I tell you I wrapped my Paperwhite, with a beautiful bow, and it is under the tree. It is driving me nuts! I feel like a kid again.

Oh, goodie! goodie! You’ll love it. Have you read on an e-reader before? And picking out books is great fun. I send myself samples all the time (remember…. they are free!). We are going on a cruise in January, and I am now loading up my Paperwhite with all kinds of goodies for the long luxurious reading-days. Can’t wait till you open yours! 🙂 Merry Christmas!

Thanks. I am just taking the plunge into a reader because I have slowed down on my reading because of eye fatigue. I was really excited to see your review of it and think it will be perfect. I’m also tired of carrying books with me when I travel.

I have the same disease – wanderlust, that is. This brings back wonderful memories of our last trip. Lovely picture of the port. And how about those amazing stone walls that cover the island? Look forward to more port pics.

Yes, the stone walls. I have a photo of a field that is covered in stone that had to be cleared. I used it in another post but maybe I’ll do that one alone and write about it.

Sherry. I just went back to check and I had done a short post on the stone walls. Here is the link.
